Speaker of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabic, claims that so-called “blockaders” have been terrorizing the public for five months under the guise of fighting for justice—only to later reveal it was all about politics.
“For five months, they terrorized citizens with blockades, violence, and by spreading hatred—even in homes, schools, and kindergartens across Serbia—all under the false pretense of seeking justice. Then, after all that time, they admitted it was political from the start and continued harassing people daily, now demanding snap elections.”
Brnabic added that when regular local elections take place—as in Zajecar and Kosjeric—their real intentions become clear: electoral obstruction, sowing chaos, and destabilizing Serbia through false claims of election fraud.
“We’ve seen it all before, many times. Now they’re talking about nearly ten thousand ‘phantom voters’ and are already preparing to escalate tensions on election day and after the results are announced in these two municipalities,” she wrote on the social platform X.
“The truth? Both Zajecar and Kosjeric actually have fewer registered voters now than they did during the last local elections in March 2021. In Zajecar, the voter roll went from 50,471 to 47,381—a decrease of 3,090. In Kosjeric, it dropped from 9,329 to 8,898—that’s 431 fewer voters. And all this data is publicly available, thanks to improvements in the electoral system over recent years!”
Brnabic concluded by saying: “It’s good that the public sees their plan for what it is—a pretext for unrest and disruption.”
А… pic.twitter.com/7I4En774Mg
