The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated today that he views BRICS as a solution for Republika Srpska, emphasizing that it is an organization of countries that respect and cooperate with each other, unlike the EU, which he described as “an organization of blackmail.”

“This is a world of cooperation, not ultimatums,” Dodik said in an interview with NTV.

According to Dodik, the EU constantly tries to impose certain demands, “offering money or something similar in return.”

“This feels more like bargaining, not cooperation,” Dodik emphasized, adding that Brussels continually issues orders and ultimatums about what needs to be done.

Dodik also assessed that both Republika Srpska and the world need an alternative.

“Of course, America has military power, that’s true, but it is no longer the financial, political, or economic center of the world. It merely threatens the world with sanctions. It seems to me that the West, out of despair and failure, keeps inventing new packages and coming up with new sanctions. But Russia’s economy is growing, and now two-thirds of the world’s countries support Russia,” Dodik said.

Dodik is participating in the BRICS summit being held in Kazan from October 22 to 24.
