Serbian Finance Minister Siniša Mali held talks with Richard Grenell, the US President’s Special Envoy for Special Tasks, during a meeting in Washington. The discussions took place at the Kennedy Center, a notable cultural venue in the US capital.
In a social media post following the meeting, Mali described Grenell as “an old friend” and emphasized their continued collaboration. “It’s always nice to see an old friend Richard Grenell, this time in Washington at the @kennedycenter. We continue to work together,” the minister wrote on Instagram.
The meeting represents ongoing diplomatic engagement between Serbian officials and key US representatives, particularly on matters of mutual interest. Grenell, known for his previous role as US Ambassador to Germany, has been involved in various international diplomatic initiatives.
This encounter follows Mali’s recent international engagements as Serbia maintains its balancing act between Western partners and other global actors. The Kennedy Center location adds symbolic weight to the meeting, as the institution often hosts significant diplomatic and cultural events.
