During a session of Serbia’s National Assembly, Milos Parandilovic, a representative of the political group Novo Lice, sparked controversy after making a statement widely seen as condoning violence toward media workers.
“You’re surprised a journalist gets treated that way in the field? Well, that’s how it goes — and that’s how it will keep going,” Parandilovic said from the podium.
His remark prompted Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic to issue an official warning for inappropriate behavior.
