President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today with Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of China’s Jiangsu Province and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu People’s Congress.
“We had a very open and productive conversation where I thanked Secretary Xin for the long-standing and successful cooperation and emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between Serbia and one of the most advanced and economically developed provinces in China.
In today’s increasingly unpredictable global economy, building strong international partnerships across all sectors has become essential for long-term growth, resilience, and global competitiveness.
Jiangsu, as a major economic center, continues to invest in innovation and advanced technologies. This creates new space for collaboration in key areas like industry, energy, agriculture, science, and education. Chinese companies from this region, already operating in cities such as Novi Sad, Nis, and Ruma, bring not only capital but also cutting-edge expertise that helps Serbia access wider markets.
I also pointed out that China is Serbia’s second-largest trade partner, proving that our country is seen as a trustworthy and competitive player. With global challenges on the rise, our cooperation with China gives us both stability and new opportunities to navigate future difficulties.
We are fully open to new investments and joint ventures across various sectors.
Thanks to my close and respectful relationship with President Xi Jinping, we are able to build strong bridges between our nations. We both believe that cooperation and solidarity are the keys to a more stable and prosperous future. Serbia will always stand by its true friends and partners – because in difficult times, real strength lies in unity, understanding, and working together for shared goals,” Vucic wrote in a message shared on social media.
