Vucic: Serbs Will Not Allow the Country to Be Destroyed – All Attempts Have Failed

During the opening of the “Dragan Markovic Palma” Tourist Complex and Memorial Park in Jagodina, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that all efforts to destabilize Serbia have failed and that the people will not allow anyone to tear the country apart.

“Those who invested billions to bring Serbia down are now stuck. They don’t know how to admit defeat because their plans have completely collapsed,” Vucic said.

He recalled the words of Dragan Markovic Palma, saying that “Serbs know what the state means and won’t stand idly by when their country is under attack.”

“When a Serb senses that their nation is threatened, they will defend it with everything they have. That’s something outsiders never understood,” he added.

Commenting on recent events in Uzice, where demonstrators clashed with police, Vucic stressed that the law must apply equally to everyone.

“No one has the right to attack police officers or block roads just because they’re a lawyer. The law applies to you, to me, to everyone equally,” he said.

He dismissed claims that police injured a three-year-old child during the protests, calling such stories complete lies.

“Imagine taking a three-year-old to a protest to confront the police and then accusing the authorities of violence. Meanwhile, you say nothing about attacking officers. Those police officers are someone’s brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers—people who work hard and earn their pay honestly,” he said.

Vucic also mentioned an alleged case where a man from Vojvodina was pressured to take his own life for the sake of inciting chaos.

“There are people out there willing to push others to the edge, just to start a revolution. That’s the kind of monsters we’re dealing with,” he said.

He noted that the most recent blockades drew virtually no participation.

“From 2 to 3 PM today, there was not a single protester. People see what’s really going on. Their movement has collapsed because Serbs won’t give up their country. Sure, they may criticize things, but when it comes to tearing the nation apart—never,” Vucic declared.

He also referred to Croatian MP Stjepo Bartulica from the Homeland Movement, whose statements in the European Parliament were closely followed by Serbian protesters prior to a controversial concert by Croatian singer Marko Perkovic Thompson.

Speaking about a newly opened highway section, Vucic said it would stand as a permanent symbol of progress.

“They said the highway was a bad idea, but we had 20,000 vehicles using it in one direction. So why lie to the people? The truth is, they enjoy attacking Serbia. It’s what they do best—criticize their own homeland,” he said.

He concluded by saying that those hoping for disruption will be disappointed.

“One opposition politician gave us a deadline, but we’ll clean up this mess long before that,” Vucic said.
