Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his sympathy to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić regarding the disaster at the Novi Sad Railway Station, where 14 people lost their lives due to a building failure, according to the Kremlin’s website.
“Dear Mr. President, please accept my deep sympathy on the sad events in Novi Sad. The citizens of Russia share in the sadness of the close Serbian people. Please communicate my genuine sympathy and help to the families of the victims, as well as my good wishes for a quick healing for all those injured,” Putin stated in his message.
Today marks a day of sadness across Serbia in response to the disaster in Novi Sad, where 14 lives were lost in the collapse of the station’s canopy.
Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the Russian House of Representatives, has also conveyed his deep sympathy regarding the tragedy at the Novi Sad Railway Station.
“The Chairman of the House of Representatives, Vyacheslav Volodin, expresses his genuine sympathy to the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, in light of the sad deaths at the Novi Sad Railway Station,” the statement announced on the website of the national assembly of the Russian Federation reads.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives also asked for messages of sympathy and help to be communicated to the loved ones of the deceased and wished for a quick healing for the injured.
Earlier, President Putin expressed his sympathy to President Vučić regarding the disaster at the Novi Sad Railway Station, where 14 individuals died in the canopy collapse.
“Dear Mr. President, please accept my deep sympathy on the sad events in Novi Sad. The citizens of Russia share in the sadness of the close Serbian people. Please communicate my genuine sympathy and help to the families of the victims, as well as my good wishes for a quick healing for all those injured,” Putin reiterated in his message.
