President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia attended the opening of the ‘St. Regis’ hotel and Belgrade Tower, marking a significant effort to turn Belgrade into a major global city. This project improves the city’s layout by adding high-quality hotel and office spaces right in the city center, part of the larger “Belgrade Waterfront” project.

During his speech, President Vucic pointed out that this project isn’t just a common construction project but a special achievement made possible by dedicated people. He mentioned that his visit to Dubai inspired these kinds of projects.

The “Belgrade Tower” includes an 11-story building managed by the St. Regis brand, which belongs to Marriott, a company known for top-notch hotel services. This project includes not only hotels but also homes, shops, and a green area for city residents. President Vucic emphasized the project’s economic benefits, noting that ‘Belgrade Waterfront’ has attracted a lot of foreign money and boosted tourism.

The number of hotels in Belgrade has grown to about 111 from just 61 in 2012, showing that Belgrade is becoming a favorite place for both vacations and business trips.

Mark de Reighter, General Manager of “St. Regis Belgrade,” said the hotel was built to the highest standards of service and hospitality. He thanked President Vucic and Sheikh Alabar for their trust and support in making the project happen. The expansion of ‘Belgrade Waterfront’ will add more business, living, and fun spaces to the city.

New restaurants, cafes, parks, and other places are expected to be built, making the city more enjoyable.

The project follows a sustainable policy that includes green technology and logistics, transforming not just the city’s appearance but also improving how people live together in urban areas. Belgrade is leading the change away from urban decay in the region and beyond.

The ‘Belgrade Waterfront’ project is a clear example of how modern city planning can make people’s lives better, making the community and the whole country proud of a city that aims to be a leading global hub, proudly showing its best to the world.
