Speaker of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabic, stated that the only outcome of the ongoing blockades is that tens of thousands of people are unable to reach their homes or move freely.
“This is the only result of the blockades: tens of thousands of people can’t get home, tens of thousands can’t move freely, and tens of thousands are suffering due to the arrogance and entitlement of those who’ve granted themselves rights they deny others,” Brnabic wrote on social media platform X.
“How many tired, anxious, and crying children are stuck in these cars just because someone decided to block the bridges? This image shows exactly how much the blockaders care about the citizens of this country, about dignity, rights, and justice. Shameful,” she added.
