Ana Brnabic, Speaker of Serbia’s National Assembly, has responded to recent remarks by Democratic Party figure Srdjan Milivojevic, calling them part of a broader effort to undermine President Aleksandar Vucic and destabilize the country.
“This is exactly how coordinated attacks against Serbia and President Vucic begin,” Brnabic stated on social media. “One provocateur makes a false accusation—someone already known for dishonesty and erratic behavior—and immediately, media outlets with political agendas spread the claim as if it were verified, publishing it in English to prompt a reaction from international figures like Picula, Schieder, and others.”
Brnabic claimed the goal of this recurring pattern is to discredit Serbia’s leadership in the eyes of international observers, while reinforcing false narratives within domestic discourse.
“They use this method to try to halt Serbia’s progress,” she said. “I can understand why foreign political actors would seize on this—it aligns with their interests. But I struggle to comprehend how individuals from our own country have no sense of shame or responsibility when fueling such tactics.”
She emphasized that President Vucic took significant personal risks by cracking down on organized crime, and that those efforts continue to pose real dangers. “He put himself and his family in jeopardy when he went after the criminal networks. That threat hasn’t disappeared,” Brnabic added. “And yet, for some here at home, not even the country or their fellow citizens seem to matter anymore.”
Ovako se vodi hibridni rat protiv Srbije i Aleksandra Vučića. Neki drekavac nešto slaže (pri tome osvedočeni lažov i prilično neuračunljiv lik), to odmah preuzimaju tajkunski mediji i tu laž prenose kao proverenu informaciju i to na engleskom, a da bi dežurnim Piculama, Šiderima,… https://t.co/wDmA1AznE0
