Speaker of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabic, addressed the public through her profile on social platform X, stating that the only thing the protest organizers truly fear is the truth. She also voiced her support for the TV Pink journalist who has received threats.
“Of all things, only the truth bothers the protesters. They don’t care about justice, human rights, or respect for this country and its citizens,” Brnabic wrote.
She went on: “That’s why their biggest enemy is @avucic, who never hesitates to speak clearly and honestly. And that’s why they can’t stand journalists who dare to report objectively about what they do and what they represent.”
Brnabic also sent a message of support to the journalist under attack.
“Full support to @gocauzelac! The threats she’s receiving only prove how accurately she portrayed what Serbia would look like if they and their foreign backers had won. Huge thanks to all journalists fighting this fight. Keep going strong,” she added.
