Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly, Ana Brnabic, took to her X profile to criticize the journalistic standards of television outlets N1 and Nova, accusing them of abandoning all professionalism in their coverage of President Aleksandar Vucic.
“What used to be just poor journalism from N1 and Nova has now sunk into the mud,” Brnabic wrote. “They gave up on ethics long ago, but their obsession with President Vucic has reached pathological levels. Since they failed to label him a thief, traitor, or some kind of evil force, now they’re trying a new approach. All day, they collect absurdities—like claiming he frowns at babies or acts arrogant while eating cevapi or burek. And then they actually publish this nonsense!”
She sarcastically added that if there were a “gas station Pulitzer Prize,” it would be split between those types of stories. “Keep going, President Vucic—when this is the level of attacks you face, it’s clear you’re doing great things for Serbia,” she concluded. “Let their frustration grow.”
