City councilor in Novi Sad, Miran Pogacar from the Bravo Movement, raised several key questions on the social media platform X today regarding the tragic incident in Novi Sad on November 1 that claimed the lives of 14 people.

“Who authorized party headquarters to decide, without any consultation with local movements, activists, or the youth of Novi Sad, when, where, and what the next protest will look like?”

“Decisions about Novi Sad and its future cannot be made without Novi Sad. It is absolutely unacceptable for decisions to be made in this manner. Will decisions about everything that needs to happen in our country now be made by parties in Belgrade whenever it suits them?” Pogacar expressed on social media.

“When you were invited to stand at the front yesterday, none of you had the courage to show up.”

“Decisions about Novi Sad and its future cannot be made without Novi Sad. It is absolutely unacceptable to decide in this way. Will decisions about everything that needs to happen in our country now be made by parties in Belgrade whenever it suits them?”

“Unfortunately, we all saw what happened during the protests over the tragedies in Ribnikar, Dubona, and Malo Orasje. Hundreds of thousands took to the streets in endless marches, only for it to end in rigged elections and a few more seats for your parties in parliament.”
