Brnabić, the Prime Minister of Serbia, appeared highly critical of the proposed law that would prohibit research, extraction and processing of lithium and boron that will be examined in the Serbian Parliament. The sessions scheduled for tomorrow at 10a.m., the only agenda being that proposal, has managed to evoke strong dissent from the Prime Minister.
According to her, the bill was a ‘disgrace’ and ‘never supported’ with reasons added ‘because some people entertain their own bodies in the Parliament.’ She condemned the opposition for boycotting President Aleksandar Vučić, who she considers a significant person on this critical topic to national security, and therefore cannot be left out from the talks.
“The President was A ‘NO’ never to Olga if he was scared to join in the constructive debate and slay the opposition’s views including those of their leader Mr. Vucic,” insisted Brnabic.
The leader of the Government pointed out that it has also been transformed into a “political soap opera” and this devalues the work of Parliament as a serious institution. She proclaimed, “This session will be one of those moments that will be remembered as an embarrassing period for upcoming generations.”
Brnabić made a request to the opposition to abandon the politics of show and to engage in practical work instead saying that it is necessary to have discussions and to take the legislative process seriously for the well being of the Serbian people.
