Elon Musk has admitted that some of his recent critical remarks about former President Donald Trump went too far. This apology came after the two had a brief phone call initiated by Musk, signaling a potential easing of tensions between them. Trump responded positively, calling Musk’s apology “very nice.”
Their conflict escalated when Musk resigned from his advisory role in the government and sharply criticized Trump’s legislative proposal, calling it a “disgusting abomination.” Musk also suggested Trump should face impeachment and accused him of connections to Jeffrey Epstein. Following backlash, Musk removed some of his harsher posts and publicly apologized.
Trump accepted the apology but had previously warned Musk of consequences if he supported Democratic politicians. This reconciliation seems to have benefited Musk financially, as his net worth reportedly increased by $191 million shortly after the apology.
I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.
