A 15-day-old baby was rescued from the rubble following an Israeli attack in Jabalia, in northern Gaza.
According to Anadolu Agency, a family home was targeted in one of the Israeli attacks and was destroyed, with a cradle containing the baby trapped under the rubble.
Search and rescue teams arrived at the scene and pulled the 15-day-old baby from beneath the debris.
The baby received medical assistance at Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City.
More than 43,000 Palestinians killed since October of last year
Since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, nearly 43,400 people have been killed in attacks on Gaza.
The United Nations Office for Human Rights reported today that nearly 70 percent of verified casualties in the Gaza war were women and children.
The UN report stated that the youngest victim was a one-day-old baby boy, while the oldest was a 97-year-old woman.
Children under 18 years old account for 44 percent of the casualties, with children aged 10 to 14 being the next largest group, according to the report.
