Election ballot drop boxes have been set on fire in two states, according to officials from Washington and Oregon.
Around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, the Portland Police Bureau received reports of a fire at a ballot box that resulted in the destruction of only three ballots, thanks to a fire suppressant located inside the box.
Nearby security guards reportedly extinguished the fire before police arrived at the scene.

Police discovered an incendiary device in the box, leading them to believe the fire was intentionally started.
Footage from Vancouver, Washington, captures workers sifting through hundreds of burning ballots and ashes.
Clark County auditor Greg Kimsey stated that it appeared a device was attached to the outside of the ballot drop box, causing the ballots to ignite.
