Israel recently launched major airstrikes targeting Iran’s military, nuclear, and command facilities in a campaign dubbed “Rising Lion.” Israeli officials say the operation aims to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons after discovering uranium enrichment close to weapons-grade levels. The strikes reportedly killed several high-ranking Iranian officials and key nuclear scientists.

In response, Iran fired over 100 ballistic missiles and drones toward Israel, with some reaching central areas including Tel Aviv, causing injuries and at least one fatality. Israel’s missile defense systems intercepted many attacks, with support from U.S. forces helping to protect civilians.

The ongoing conflict has stirred regional instability, prompting countries such as Jordan and Iraq to close their airspace. Airlines have altered flight routes, and world leaders have urged restraint to avoid a wider escalation.

This escalation has disrupted diplomatic efforts, including the nuclear negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, and contributed to rising oil prices and increased global security concerns.
