Director of the Vojvodina Clinical Center Provides Update on Injured from Novi Sad Railway Station Incident
Dr. Vesna Turkulov, the Director of the Vojvodina Clinical Center, has shared the latest information regarding the victims injured at the Novi Sad Railway Station.
According to her statements, all injured individuals are currently on ventilators, indicating the severity of their conditions.
“The situation remains very critical. All three patients are alive, but they are still in a life-threatening state. Their conditions are slightly more stable, but they are far from stable,” stated Turkulov.
She noted that all injured patients are connected to ventilators and are currently unconscious.
“These are very severe injuries, and that is to be expected. Daily diagnostics are ongoing, and further interventions will continue as needed,” Turkulov explained. She emphasized that there is always a need for blood—if not for the injured, then for other patients.
As a reminder, the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station resulted in the tragic loss of fourteen lives, with three individuals suffering serious injuries. Today, Vojvodina observes a second day of mourning, as citizens pay their respects to the victims at the station.
