A plenary meeting of professors and students at the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade was held earlier today. A recording from the meeting, now circulating in the media, appears to reveal a conversation between faculty members and students involved in the ongoing blockades.

According to reports, the footage allegedly supports claims that the student-led protests are being coordinated or at least heavily influenced by faculty members.

One of the voices heard in the recording is believed to be Professor Vladimir Cebasek, who expressed concern over the professors’ financial situation and their ability to continue supporting the movement.

“I managed to participate in 95 percent of your actions, whether they were in Belgrade or elsewhere. But now we’ve reached a point where we’re not being paid, and it’s simply a question of whether we can physically keep up. It would be extremely unfair of us to ask you to solve our problems,” said the professor.

The discussion continues with professors reportedly admitting they were behind the initial organization of the protests. However, they now express concern about financial strain and suggest that students should continue to take the lead, while only 10–15% of the teaching staff remains actively involved.
