J.R. (31) was arrested based on a warrant for serving a five-year prison sentence related to unauthorized drug production and trafficking, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed.
The conviction stems from a 2022 incident when authorities seized over four kilograms of marijuana and more than a kilogram of ketamine in his possession.
During his time on the run, he was hiding at his grandmother V. Š.’s apartment in New Belgrade. Investigators also link him to the Vračarci criminal group, which is active in Kragujevac.
In another apartment J.R. reportedly used for concealment, police apprehended his brother U.Š. (31), who is suspected of assisting him.
Searches are ongoing at several locations. So far, authorities have discovered a significant amount of cash and multiple mobile phones suspected to be encrypted and used to coordinate criminal activities.
Officers from UKP and SBPOK continue efforts to dismantle organized crime networks operating not only in Serbia but also across Europe and globally.
According to media reports, J.R. is known by the alias “Little Solak” and was allegedly hiding in an apartment owned by Dragan Šolak’s mother.
