The Mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Djuric, announced today that city services are fully available to assist state authorities following the accident at the Novi Sad Railway Station, where a canopy collapsed.
Djuric arrived at the station immediately after receiving news of the incident.
“The city is in ongoing contact with the relevant authorities and will take all necessary steps to support their efforts. Right now, our priority is to provide assistance to everyone affected by this accident,” said Mayor Djuric.
He added that, once investigators complete their inspection, the public will be informed of any next steps, according to the statement.
“I am deeply saddened that this tragedy occurred in Novi Sad. City services are fully committed to supporting state authorities in responding to this situation,” Djuric expressed.
