The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that all road blockades set up in Belgrade were removed during the night, allowing traffic throughout the city to return to normal.
According to the official statement, law enforcement acted in a highly professional manner during the operation. Several individuals were detained for assaulting and insulting officers, as well as disturbing public order.
One police vehicle was reported damaged by participants in the blockade.
Protesters had previously obstructed multiple key intersections across Belgrade and in other cities throughout Serbia.
