The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, received the credentials of the new Dutch Ambassador to Serbia, Martijn Elhersma, today and discussed current political developments in the region with him.
Vucic welcomed the new ambassador and wished him success in his duties.
On Instagram, the President mentioned that he informed the new Dutch ambassador about Serbia’s plans for strong economic progress and the country’s initiatives aimed at maintaining peace, stability, and overall progress in the Western Balkans.
“I emphasized Serbia’s interest in deepening overall relations with the Netherlands, with a special focus on Dutch investments in some of Serbia’s key projects. Known for its innovations and advanced technologies, the Netherlands can offer us valuable experience in areas such as environmental protection, agriculture, sustainable infrastructure, and energy efficiency,” Vucic stated.
According to Vucic, cooperation in these areas would not only bring significant mutual benefits but also improve the quality of life for citizens.
“I thanked the Netherlands for its support on Serbia’s European path and expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” Vucic said.
He added that the Dutch ambassador conveyed the greetings of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
