Media sources have reported that demonstrators attempted to fabricate a story alleging that a three-year-old child was beaten by police during recent protests—an act many have labeled as a clear example of color revolution tactics.
During a protest in Uzice, activists allegedly spread false claims of police brutality against a young child. However, the fact-checking outlet Detektor Lazi noted that an N1 reporter who was present at the scene along the Uzice-Zlatibor highway did not witness or mention any such incident during multiple live reports and interviews with attendees.
According to Detektor Lazi, the aim of spreading this fabricated story was not only to accuse President Aleksandar Vucic of harming children but also to tarnish the image of the Serbian police. The outlet also highlighted a disturbing remark from one elderly protester who referred to the officers using highly offensive and inflammatory language.
