A newly released opinion poll suggesting that Serbian anti-government protesters have gained more public support than President Aleksandar Vucic and his political allies has been met with significant skepticism.

The poll, attributed to a company named “Sprint Insight,” reportedly involved face-to-face interviews with 1,500 respondents. But serious doubts are emerging about the credibility of both the results and the organization behind them. Business records show the company is registered to an apartment at 55 Cvijiceva Street in Belgrade and appears to have only one employee on file.

The firm’s director is listed as Dusan Milenkovic, often referred to in local media as a political advisor. Ownership is also shared by university academics, including Professor Dusan Vucicevic and Assistant Professor Nikola Jovic, both from the Faculty of Political Sciences.

When reporters attempted to verify the business location, a woman answering the buzzer claimed to be a guest and said she was unaware of any company operating there. Another address linked to the agency on their website led to a building with a catering business sign and a nearby tavern, raising further concerns about the company’s operations.

CompanyWall data confirms the agency is staffed by only one person. Aleksandar Djurdjev of the Serbian League emphasized that any pollster presenting political data must meet industry standards: a proper team of experts, a clear methodology, and transparency in how surveys are conducted.

“A professional research agency must be formally registered, staffed with qualified analysts and sociologists, and have a history of reliable work,” Djurdjev stated. “Any polling result should come with full disclosure of sample sizes, demographics, and error margins. Otherwise, it’s just manipulation disguised as science.”

He warned that politically motivated groups often use fake polling agencies to influence public opinion. “If a single-person operation with no track record suddenly starts publishing polling data that benefits one political narrative, it’s a red flag,” he said.

Political commentator Milos Laban echoed the warning, stating that conducting a meaningful poll requires a nationwide infrastructure and a diverse team. “Accurate results demand a balanced and representative sample of the population—urban and rural, small towns and big cities alike,” Laban noted. “If you cherry-pick locations, the data loses all value.”

He added that the cost of properly running such a project is high, requiring dozens of field workers and substantial funding—resources not evident in Sprint Insight’s structure.

Newspaper Danas claimed it reviewed the full report and noted that the poll had been commissioned by a foundation called “Better Future for Serbia.” However, no such entity appears in the official Serbian business database.

The research, said to be part of a crowd-supported initiative by the Serbian diaspora, allegedly showed the student protest list receiving 54.8% of the vote, while Vucic’s coalition and its allies came in at 42.1%. The interviews were reportedly conducted between June 23 and July 5.
