The Serbian Ministry of Defense has reported that heavily armed members of the so-called Kosovo Police unlawfully crossed the administrative line near the village of Ćirkoviće, moving from central Serbia into the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.

“This is a calculated and deliberate provocation by the temporary Pristina authorities, led by Albin Kurti, aimed at creating tensions and violating existing agreements,” the Ministry stated.

The Ministry has urged KFOR, as the only legitimate military force in Kosovo and Metohija, to act decisively within its mandate to prevent further provocations and to maintain peace in the region.

Kurti’s decision to send Kosovo Police across the administrative line has been labeled a serious provocation and a direct threat to stability.

The Serbian Armed Forces, stationed in the Ground Safety Zone, are closely monitoring the situation and stand ready to act if necessary, in full compliance with the Military-Technical Agreement, the Ministry confirmed.
