President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic held a phone conversation with the newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Following the call, President Vucic shared details on his Instagram account, “buducnostsrbieav”

“I just finished a conversation with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. It was excellent, meaningful, and, I would say, very warm. I thank President Trump for his impressive knowledge about Serbia. Believe it or not, he even mentioned our country’s sports achievements.

“I took the opportunity to express my desire to strengthen our relations across all areas of society. I also expressed hope that he will visit Serbia, as our country provided the highest level of support for his election in all of Europe.”

“President Trump expressed his gratitude for the strong support he has received from the Serbian people. I am confident that we can continue enhancing our relationship in the future.”

“I am sure that, with the support of our friends – and by friends, I mean the entire Trump team, many of whom were with him during our conversation – they will succeed in making America great, and we will make Serbia a respectable and well-connected country with the United States,” said Vucic in a video message.

In a post, President Vucic stated, “An excellent conversation with the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. Warm and meaningful. I believe in a stronger partnership with the U.S. under President Trump’s leadership.”

To recall, Donald Trump has been elected as the 47th President of the United States. The Republican candidate and former president, who lost to Joe Biden in 2020, won 312 of the 538 electoral votes, defeating Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris.
