Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed the public, emphasizing that the global situation is becoming increasingly unstable.
“My predictions are that everything happening will increasingly spiral out of control. I fear that this will lead to an even larger conflict. We must strengthen our forces, our military. We must fortify our country. As for shelters, our numbers are alarming,” Vucic said.
However, we also need to prepare for other situations,” Vucic stated, further explaining that he was referring to shelters
“It was interrupted in 2011 or early 2012, they stopped all investments and budget allocations to the public enterprise for shelters. And since then, they have been in a big problem, and we never even thought about this situation until now, which is also a mistake. We now have to fix this systematically,” said Vucic.
The President of Serbia also addressed the remarks made by Dragan Dilas, stating:
“Violent people most often talk about fighting against violence, always referring to something that is only known to them.”
“Just two days after the great tragedy in Novi Sad, the fate of those people didn’t interest them, nothing interested them, no respect. But they showed how much they care about power, so they brought a truck with sewage, took down flags, tore them, broke windows at the City Hall. They especially went mad over the flags, and that’s a special kind of provocation for them. They kicked and attacked police officers, then claimed that these were infiltrators, and asked for all those infiltrators to be released,” said Vucic.
Vucic underlined that Serbia must stand its ground.
“I expect Trump to turn against the EU, whether that is true or not? That is my perspective. He will make deals with China, and then he will come to this side. But we must prepare financial buffers, to be as well-prepared as possible. We are reducing waiting lists. Soon we will make decisions on who the new ministers in construction and infrastructure will be. They are good, hardworking, diligent people. Things happen that you sometimes cannot control, but Serbia must fight. It should never depend on one person, always on politics and the program,” said Vucic.
