In an interview with a Bosnian outlet known for its anti-Serb stance, Severina Vuckovic accused Serbs of being responsible for all the wars that have troubled the region in recent decades.

She began by recounting an incident from late August, when she was allegedly detained at the Serbia-Croatia border. During the interview, Severina went so far as to label the Serbian people as “the worst delinquents,” sparking outrage with her comments.

“We were at the Serbian border at 7:35 PM when the border officer told us to pull over. This wasn’t my first time; since 2016, I’ve been stopped multiple times, likely under orders from then-minister Nebojsa Stefanovic,” Severina told Klix.ba.

She recounted being held for over an hour before being directed to a garage for further inspection by five officers, allegedly in connection to her statements on sensitive topics such as Jasenovac and the Operation Storm.

“They asked me what I thought about Jasenovac, and I replied, ‘I think you’re all in Jasenovac, but alive.’ They then asked about Operation Storm and the topic of women being assaulted during it. I responded, ‘Vucic is to blame for Operation Storm!’ He’s a caricature of a man,” she said, referring to the Serbian President.

Severina further accused Serbs of instigating conflicts across the Balkans:
“Serbs are the worst delinquents in this neighborhood. You’ve meddled in every war, started the first one, destroyed Bosnia, entered Croatia, and now you’re causing issues in Montenegro,” concluded the Croatian singer, who has personal ties to Serbia.

Her statements have drawn widespread attention, sparking both support and criticism across the region.
