On November 1, a teenage boy and girl, both 17, were driving through Lazarevac when the young driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, likely due to speeding. The car veered off the road, struck a guardrail, and flipped over, coming to rest upside down.
According to “Telegraf.rs,” the girl, who suffered a severe spinal injury, was rushed to the Emergency Center in critical condition. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries after a week. The boy sustained only minor injuries.
By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office’s juvenile division, an autopsy has been mandated for the deceased girl, alongside a forensic examination of the vehicle.
Unofficial reports indicate that the boy had alcohol in his system at the time of the crash. Additionally, investigations have revealed that he did not have a driver’s license.
