In the town of Kosjeric, a review of the election material is currently underway following a request from the opposition. Outside the municipal building, citizens have gathered – some waiting for updates, others voicing dissatisfaction with the election outcome.

The opposition claims irregularities and refuses to accept the results of the local vote, in which the ruling SNS party narrowly defeated the “United for Kosjeric” opposition list by just 51 votes. Notably, there were 119 invalid ballots.

While opinions among residents remain divided, emotions are running high.
Some describe the election as “a robbery” and claim, “the results were stolen.” Others support the outcome, with one citizen stating: “It’s okay – Serbia won, Vucic is fighting like a lion.” Another said: “Some are happy, some are not.”

Several residents also alleged that voters who were not from Kosjeric participated in the election.

As the review of the ballots continues, tensions remain, and all eyes are on whether the opposition will take further legal or political steps.
