U.S. President Donald Trump is in “excellent cognitive and physical health,” according to White House physician Captain Sean Barbabella.

On Friday, Trump underwent a comprehensive medical checkup at a hospital in Bethesda, Maryland—his first physical exam since beginning his second presidential term. The five-hour evaluation included lab tests, a cognitive assessment, and a full physical.

The physician’s memorandum, released on Sunday, confirmed that the 78-year-old president is “fully fit” to carry out his duties.

“President Trump remains in excellent health, showing strong cardiac, lung, neurological, and overall physical function,” the report stated.

Barbabella also highlighted Trump’s “active lifestyle,” which includes constant engagement in meetings, public events, and frequent golf wins, as key factors supporting his good health.

The president currently weighs 224 pounds (101.6 kg), stands 75 inches tall (190 cm), has a resting heart rate of 62 beats per minute, and a blood pressure reading of 128/74 mmHg.

The doctor also noted the presence of a scar on Trump’s right ear, the result of a gunshot wound from an assassination attempt last July. Additionally, the president was found to have some minor sun damage and a few non-cancerous skin lesions.

Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a standard test designed to screen for early signs of dementia. The test includes tasks such as naming animals, drawing a clock, and remembering words after a short delay.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday, Trump said he “got every answer right” on the cognitive test.

“Overall, I felt I was in very good shape. A good heart, a good soul—a very good soul,” he remarked.

He mentioned receiving “a little bit” of lifestyle advice from the medical team but did not go into further detail.

Throughout his presidency, Trump has often criticized the mental and physical fitness of his predecessor, Joe Biden, who left office at the age of 82.
