Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, during his official visit to Serbia.

“Real friendship is built over time, through loyalty, trust, and mutual respect. Serbia has such a friend, and I welcome him with deep appreciation and pride,” Vucic shared on Instagram.

He highlighted that President Mohamed bin Zayed is one of the world’s most respected leaders, known for his unwavering support for Serbia during difficult times.

“With such a partner, we aim to build a future grounded in shared goals of growth and success. Welcome, dear friend,” Vucic added.

The Serbian president also emphasized the honor of hosting the UAE leader, describing him as a visionary and a symbol of the strength and stability of the Emirati people.

“This visit is a powerful expression of the UAE’s trust in Serbia and a reflection of our growing partnership based on mutual understanding and strategic cooperation. We discussed expanding our economic ties, exploring new investments, improving flight connections, and launching collaborative projects in tourism, infrastructure, and energy. We also focused on the upcoming EXPO2027 in Belgrade, a great opportunity to show the world a modern Serbia full of innovation, young talent, and ambition. Belgrade will be more than a host – it will represent a vision of the future,” Vucic stated.

The two leaders visited the “Belgrade Waterfront” project, their most prominent joint development so far. Vucic expressed optimism about future ventures that will support Serbia’s economic growth.

He concluded by thanking Sheikh Mohamed for his trust, kind words, and commitment to stronger cooperation. “The UAE is a true friend of Serbia – not just in words, but through real actions. In today’s uncertain world, having reliable allies like this is invaluable. Serbia always welcomes you with respect, gratitude, and an open heart,” said Vucic.
