President Aleksandar Vucic met with Karen Pierce, the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for the Western Balkans, in Belgrade.

Vucic extended his congratulations on her new role and reaffirmed Serbia’s dedication to maintaining a transparent dialogue and strengthening cooperation with the UK.

During the meeting, they addressed various topics including developments in the Western Balkans, Serbia’s ongoing efforts toward European Union membership, and bilateral ties between the two countries.

The Serbian president thanked the United Kingdom for its continued engagement in the region, especially its support for Serbia’s EU aspirations and its role in organizing the upcoming Berlin Process Summit in London.

While acknowledging that diplomatic relations between the two countries are positive, Vucic pointed out that further improvement is possible. He highlighted economic cooperation and political dialogue as priorities, and also extended an official invitation to Prime Minister Starmer to visit Serbia.

“I remain optimistic about our joint efforts with the United Kingdom to build lasting peace, enhance regional stability, and boost prosperity both locally and throughout Europe,” Vucic said in a post shared online.
