Professor Valentina Arsic Arsenijevic from the Faculty of Medicine pointed out the contradiction in students demanding that institutions work properly while being the ones actively damaging them.
“I’m critical of the government and I strongly support a sovereign state where institutions function. But I can’t support the idea that we should fix one institution by breaking another. That’s pure hypocrisy and leads nowhere,” she said.
She also criticized inappropriate behavior toward faculty members, specifically mentioning the situation involving Professor Vladan Petrov at the Law Faculty.
“Targeting people and staging confrontations like what was done to Professor Petrov is completely unacceptable in an academic setting. If we want a better country, we have to start by being better ourselves,” Arsic Arsenijevic concluded.
