President of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Milos Vucevic has accused opposition lists and their election observers of breaking the rules during the local elections in Zajecar and Kosjeric. He urged the authorities to respond and ensure that the electoral process is conducted in line with the law.
“Just a few hours after polling stations opened, the number of violations by opposition lists, their observers, and supporters can’t even be counted on both hands,” Vucevic wrote on Instagram. “Their behavior at and around polling stations is scandalous, and if they had any shame, their hands would be red from it.”
Vucevic claimed that groups of men dressed in black, presenting themselves as “veterans,” were roaming the towns, threatening and intimidating voters, especially the elderly.
He singled out long-time student Radomir Lazovic, accusing him of blocking streets and harassing people in Kosjeric with his group.
According to Vucevic, some opposition observers wore badges with red fists, which he called particularly disturbing. He also alleged that political affiliates were illegally entering polling stations and falsely claiming to be independent observers. He named provincial MP Nemanja Sarcevic from the “People’s Movement – Ecological Uprising” list, accusing him of impersonating an observer from the NGO “New Generation.”
