SNS leader and presidential advisor for regional affairs, Milos Vucevic, voiced concern on Pink TV over the dwindling chances of organizing student enrollment for the upcoming academic year, blaming the ongoing university tensions.
Reacting to the news that Rector Djokic failed to attend a scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Macuta, Vucevic described the move as puzzling and counterproductive.
“I was under the impression that the Prime Minister and the rector had established a working dialogue through regular meetings. This sudden absence sends a negative message. We’re running out of time to ensure that enrollment processes go ahead smoothly. I’ve said this before – they’re using these students as pawns in a political game. And for what? To serve personal or ideological projects. Let the students study. Let them grow. Don’t make them suffer for someone else’s ambitions. Generations are being punished,” Vucevic said.
He also criticized those who, in his words, choose to speak negatively about their country in foreign institutions.
“Some believe they must have a say in everything. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a so-called elite willing to damage everything around them just to push their own agenda,” he concluded.
