Today, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski to discuss ways to strengthen their partnership and work on joint initiatives aimed at ensuring a stable and prosperous future for their citizens.
“We focused on economic and infrastructure projects, especially the construction of the Budapest-Belgrade-Skopje-Athens-Piraeus railway, which would create a vital link between Central and Southern Europe. Additionally, we explored opportunities to boost trade and deepen collaboration in the energy sector,” Vucic shared on Instagram.
He emphasized that both leaders agreed on the importance of solidarity and mutual support as the foundation for lasting stability and progress across the region.
“I am especially grateful that North Macedonia is one of the key partners in the Open Balkan initiative, which has become a symbol of strong regional cooperation and the integration of the Western Balkans. Our shared goal is a better future for all citizens, and collaboration through the Open Balkan initiative and other projects remains a solid foundation on which we are building the future of the entire region,” he stated.
He expressed confidence that relations will continue to develop in the spirit of friendship and partnership.
