President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has announced that on either September 12 or 19, the country will hold what he described as the most powerful military parade ever seen in Serbia and the former Yugoslavia.
Vucic stated that over the past several months, major efforts have been made to equip, upgrade, and strengthen the Serbian Armed Forces more than ever before.
“We’ve invested a lot into building a stronger Serbian Army. What you’ll see during the parade will be things most people had no idea we possess. These are huge changes coming to our military,” Vucic said.
He also added: “You’ll witness technologies and systems that have been kept secret. On Monday, I’ll meet with the General Staff to discuss important upcoming changes. We’re planning to launch a ‘digital army’ platform.”
According to him, some of the equipment recently acquired remains highly confidential.
“NATO drones and those from neighboring countries have flown into our territory to observe us, but we avoided turning things on to keep them hidden. Only a few people — no more than five — know exactly what we’ve brought into the country,” Vucic said.
