Speaking from Abu Dhabi, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic addressed the ongoing street blockades that have disrupted daily life in cities across Serbia.
“From the very beginning, it was obvious what this was about – a color revolution, organized and financed from abroad. Since USAID is no longer able to fund them, they’ll now rely on NED and other similar organizations. We’re tracking every step of this movement and are fully aware that they no longer stand a chance,” Vucic stated.
He also responded to calls for lifting his presidential immunity: “I haven’t even invoked immunity. That’s what happens when people have no clue. I urge young people to focus on their studies instead of embarrassing themselves. June 28 will come and go, and by the 29th or 30th, we’ll be opening the new road to Pozega—that’s what truly matters.”
When asked about Rector Djokic, Vucic claimed his tenure will be remembered negatively.
“Once elections are called, everyone will be welcome—whether they oppose or support us. Then we’ll see what the people think and who has delivered results. We’ve never seen such a mass departure from a university as during his time,” he said.
He added that a law student had been barred from entering the faculty building, describing it as an unacceptable act of intimidation.
“The real students are those sitting in Pioneer Park. The ones blocking access are not students, they’re political agitators. You can’t just prevent someone from entering their university. They’re enforcing the decisions of their so-called ‘plenum’—it’s absurd,” said Vucic.
“They’re stuck in a digital echo chamber, chasing likes and illusions. They don’t see reality. The sooner they realize it’s over, the better chance they have to return to their studies and move on,” he concluded.
