Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Rene Troccaz, France’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, to discuss key regional matters, including the situation in Kosovo, Serbia’s EU accession process, and strengthening ties with France.
“I spoke with France’s special envoy about critical topics for Serbia, the region, and Europe – from Kosovo and Metohija to our European path and bilateral relations with France,” Vucic said in a statement shared on Instagram.
He reiterated Serbia’s commitment to being a serious, responsible, and constructive partner in all efforts aimed at preserving peace and prosperity.
Vucic noted that both sides agreed open dialogue and cooperation are essential for the future of the Western Balkans, and underlined the strategic importance of Serbia’s partnership and traditional friendship with France.
He also highlighted Troccaz’s message that the European Union should speed up the integration of Western Balkan countries to ensure the long-term stability of the continent.
Vucic concluded by thanking France and President Emmanuel Macron for their ongoing support of Serbia’s progress toward EU membership and their role in the dialogue with Pristina.
