“I was thinking about responding to Marta Kos and the political agitators behind the recent blockades. But today is Holy Saturday, and I decided instead to show the people of Serbia what we’re actually working on,” said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during a visit to the EXPO 2027 construction site.

Despite the ongoing political noise and accusations from those he says want to destabilize the country, Vucic emphasized that progress continues.

“This is the central part of the future fair and EXPO site. On the left is the National Pavilion, and behind me are newly constructed buildings, including residential ones. To the right is the stadium. The railway from the airport to the EXPO is progressing well—7 kilometers long, and altogether 16 kilometers in this area. It will connect Prokop, New Belgrade, the airport, Obrenovac, and the EXPO site,” Vucic explained.

He expressed satisfaction with the pace of development, especially given that work continued even on a holiday.

“I haven’t been here in weeks, and I’m truly happy to see how much has been built. Even today, on Holy Saturday, people are working hard. Maybe we’ll bring them some Easter eggs,” he said with a smile.

Vucic concluded with a strong message: “Remember my words—no one can stop or defeat Serbia.”
