Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic spoke about the attack he experienced a decade ago in Potocari, emphasizing that it was directed at a Serbia that refuses to be humiliated or forced into apologies.

“I went there to pay my respects to the victims — I bowed my head in their memory, and I remain proud of that. I once again express my condolences to the families of the Bosniaks who lost their lives. That respectful attitude will never change, and that’s what separates us from many others,” said Vucic.

He recalled the intense diplomatic struggle Serbia faced at the United Nations.

“The most difficult moment for me personally was around eighteen months ago at the UN. It was a relentless effort. We gave everything we had — even people like Lagumdzija and Konakovic acknowledged how fiercely Serbia defended its position,” he noted.

Vucic highlighted that Serbia, though small in size, stood up for its dignity and sovereignty.

“I will never lower my head before violent mobs or political bullies,” he said.

“I’m proud of the strength we showed during those critical moments,” Vucic concluded.
