Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met today with Sergej Lomakin, the Director General of the Boxing Federation of Serbia, to discuss the role of sports in shaping the country’s future.
“It was a pleasure to meet with Sergej Lomakin, a true ally of Serbia,” Vucic stated. “We spoke about how essential sport is—not only for athletic achievement but also for building a healthier and more disciplined society. Supporting youth through investment in sports infrastructure and programs is one of the keys to lasting progress.”
Vucic underlined that the value of sport extends far beyond the field or ring. “It represents unity, resilience, and social cohesion.”
Lomakin, who has consistently shown interest in Serbia’s sports development, was commended for his continued involvement.
“I’m glad to see his willingness to contribute his experience and drive toward enhancing our sporting future. Today’s meeting was another positive step toward stronger ties and fresh initiatives that can serve the entire nation,” Vucic concluded.
