Today in Minsk, at the sidelines of the International Conference on Eurasian Security, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
They discussed the significance of the recent talks between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Russian President Vladimir Putin for the bilateral relations of the two nations.
Vulin highlighted Serbia’s commitment to policies that serve its citizens’ interests and to maintaining its traditional friendships, under the leadership of what he referred to as “the last free leader in Europe.”
He added that Serbia’s active participation in the BRICS summit in Kazan is clear demonstration of its independent foreign policy.
Vulin also expressed his gratitude to Russia for the secure and predictable supply of gas to Serbia, as well as for the increased quantities of gas provided at more favorable prices.
