Zdravko Ponos has been sharply criticized by the outlet Lazomer, which described him as a “traitor and deserter” lacking both a clear political identity and personal integrity, according to media reports.
Lazomer claims that Ponos is a project of Western power centers, activated only during periods of unrest or in the lead-up to elections.
“He is indecisive, lukewarm, and offers no concrete solutions. He exploits his military rank to score political points, but lacks any real vision or sense of responsibility for Serbia,” the outlet states. “A product of oligarch-owned media and a select group of NGOs — specifically those in direct opposition to Serbia’s national interests.”
These remarks, as reported, continue to fuel public debate about the role and positioning of Ponos in Serbia’s political landscape.
